Walk Alone..

People often say it takes Lion's courage to take that enterprising step. They often write in length about how difficult it is to venture ahead in darkness, while leaving behind sun light. They narrate further how insane to all world it seems that in search of better, brighter future one person would wage a war of his life and will make imbalance in his present life. But all those narrations, sayings, write ups and thoughts fall damn low and weak when striked with reality.

When you have entire of future on bank of jeopardy and there is no vision ahead for the possibilities that may lay ahead on your dream run, you feel damn weak inside. But one has to fight that out. Failures may come, and it may simply break you down, but what fun and meaning life is, if we cant stand for what we believe. It is not for the world to show or comment, as it is one's own life..

While the current is against you, toring you apart and taking away every ounce of courage that you have, one has to smile back, held his head low and say it inside... i am with you.. and that inner voice is all gonna stay till the end.. If the intentions are good, motive is divine, and one has that belief in his id.. there is no going back... even if the failure comes, there is still a victory, even bigger and stronger then the one that victorious could dream of celebrating... its quest against comfort, and well being.. its an acid test where good is no longer acceptable.. its strive for excellence and voyage for what you feel is right.. its one's own voyage...

If they answer not to thy call walk alone,
If they are afraid and cower mutely facing the wall,
O thou of evil luck,
open thy mind and speak out alone.
If they turn away, and desert you when crossing the wilderness,
O thou of evil luck,
trample the thorns under thy tread,
and along the blood-lined track travel alone.
If they do not hold up the light when the night is troubled with storm,
O thou of evil luck,
with the thunder flame of pain ignite thy own heart
and let it burn alone.

The Wall rests as a Monument.. Goodbye Dravid

As a young kid playing Gali Cricket, he remained my inspiration. Keenly following him and his cricketing skills became my hobby sometimes. Imitating his batting style and to the extent his wicket keeping too made me so happy. In those childhood memories, he is engraved as an icon or a superhero who in true sense inspired me.

A man of a steel with nerves of iron. A wall like character who refused to give up even against hurricanes like Alan Donald, Sohaib Akhtar and even Glenn McGrath. In a game that is followed keenly by billions of expectations and its tremendous pressure, Rahul Dravid always remained Mr. Cool.

He was not a gifted child, or an artist of a game like the little master, but he surely was and will remain the greatest sportsman ever. To our generation who came from a small towns of India, Rahul remained a figure to follow. He exemplified that, with dedication, fighting spirit and persistence, you yield best results in long run. Every time he was out he will simply go back and return more resolute then ever as if challenging his own previous mistakes. Yes, as I said he wasn't a born winner but surely man of flesh like all of us who simply worked that hard that even destiny conspired to give him the success.

His marathon career and stats are well enough to shun his die-hard critics and yes even if they do... did he ever care...??

A Gentleman of Gentleman's game, a true ambassador for a sport, a good human and above all my icon retires... but you will always remain in our heart... A standing ovation to the Wall, who is now a Monument for generations...

Goodbye... Rahul Dravid
